I’m Cody Coffman. Cody for short.

Hello. As this is my first blog post, I shall introduce myself. I am Cody Coffman, a senior at Key Learning Community. I have been drawing since I was 5 and have been lucky enough to come across the field of graphic designing. Over the past year, I have taught myself to design logos, album art, social media banners, and various other stuff along those lines.

Although I taught myself to design, I have grown a lot more since my time as an apprentice at SuperPixel. As a class for my senior year, I have to go out in the community and get “on the job” training for a field of my choice. I just happened to run across SuperPixel and I couldn’t be happier. The whole team is great to work with and it’s just a great environment to learn and have fun.

So far in my experience, I have been asked to do various things for this business. The first thing I did was review a couple websites to catch and fix bugs, like display issues on mobile devices. I have also done various things designing-wise such as my most recent project which was designing a YouTube banner for a company called Reaction Strike (shown above). Along with that, I also have designed PowerPoint templates, created textures for people to buy, and I have been working on some vector icons as well.

Overall, I hope to gain experience designing stuff for companies and what not, and experience working with such great designers. This also gives me a chance to build up some work for my college portfolio, so that doesn’t hurt either. This is a grand opportunity for me to have and I am going to cherish every moment of it.

Justin has been around the Internet long enough to remember when people started saying “content is king”.

He has worked for some of Indiana’s largest companies, state government, taught college-level courses, and about 1.1M people see his work every year.

You’ll probably see him around Indianapolis on a bicycle.
