Searching for Indy

I just stumbled across Google Trends, one of those sites that I remember exists every once in a while and I go noodling around for a few minutes.

I did a search for “Indianapolis” and “Indy”. While the search for “Indianapolis” was pretty steady and flat, “Indy” had a different set of results:

Searching for Indy 1

Interesting how much the traffic jumps around May, no doubt thanks to the Indy 500. What’s more, they’re a couple other bumps along the line each year, no doubt thanks to the NCAA Final Four. It’ll be interesting to see what the Super Bowl in 2012 will look like from a search perspective.

Justin has been around the Internet long enough to remember when people started saying “content is king”.

He has worked for some of Indiana’s largest companies, state government, taught college-level courses, and about 1.1M people see his work every year.

You’ll probably see him around Indianapolis on a bicycle.
