Become a supporter and help me do my work

I get asked a lot of questions by people:

  • How do I get people to read my site/email/paper/thing?
  • How do you get ideas for things to write about? How can I do that?
  • Is there some way to encourage people to buy/donate/sign up?
  • Can you really do 75 unbroken sit-ups?

The answers are: be thoughtful, think deeply, do interesting things, and yes. If you’d like to know more, I’d like to share more with you. Including my personal “Member Journals” series that are more personal and closely held.

You can now support my efforts to make the web a little bit better.

And you get some perks along the way.

FAQs about subscribing

Why are you doing this?

Money, why else? But also because I’m working on a bunch of new things that, like any sort of Patreon subscriber knows, requires some upfront help.

What plans do you have for the future I can get access to?

I don’t want to promise anything, but I’m working on a few things. One is a book about bank robbers. Another is a short story series.

I have plans to build out a writing course designed specifically for websites, but can be useful for anyone working with “direct response” style materials, even emails.

Being a Super Nice Subscriber is a good way for me to know there’s people who like me, my work, and want more. And maybe a podcast or something where I dish on juicy stuff about really weird requests from over the years.

How does the money work?

All transactions are processed through Stripe. After I pay a card processing fee of about 3%, you’ll be billed monthly. You can cancel anytime from your Account page.
