Changing email and call habits for sanity

Do you know how many emails you get in a day? I get about 185, on average. This is madness.
In both instances you get a subtle nudge to think, âHey, lots of other people, maybe most other people, are taking this without paying, too.â You donât get to be surprised when the problem *gets worse*.
These emails have, from what I’ve seen, routinely come “from” a boss, supervisor, or family member’s name. They usually start with an innocuous “Do you have a moment for a call?” or “Do you have a minute?”
A user on Reddit asked about input on her organization’s Giving Tuesday campaign. I rarely comment at length on anything, but the /r/nonprofit subreddit isn’t as popular as others and sometimes a question comes along I can help with. So I wrote the following response about Giving Tuesday.
