Member Journal: Saying goodbye to people in 2023

Doris Kearns-Goodwin routinely writes and talks about her time serving with Lyndon Johnson in the White House. She says LBJ “wanted to be liked” and, more or less, felt anyone’s animosity or dislike of him deeply.

I completely understand. I think everyone wants to be liked, but some people have a lower tolerance. I have an incredibly low tolerance for getting a sense that someone doesn’t like me. And in those circumstances, I’m quick to try and “fix it.” But in 2023 I tried something else — just cutting people out who weren’t trying.

Justin has been around the Internet long enough to remember when people started saying “content is king”.

He has worked for some of Indiana’s largest companies, state government, taught college-level courses, and about 1.1M people see his work every year.

You’ll probably see him around Indianapolis on a bicycle.
