A free timeblock planner sheet a la Cal Newport’s

A long time ago I wanted to experiment with time block planning on paper. At the time, none of the sheets, books, or commercial options quite fit what I was after, so I made my own. Cal Newport has his Time Block Planner, but I’ve come to realize it’s only enough for 1 Quarter, and that’s kind of a lot to carry for such a short period of time. I get he promotes the idea of quarterly planning, but, that’s a lot of paper and money.

Still, I have the sheet. It looks like this:

Figured someone might like it, so if you stumbled here from Google or wherever you can download this a Word Doc (.docx) and PDF. Totally free!

You can customize your own personal daily metrics in the Word version. And change the timing if you work later in the day. 7-5 is my usual, so it’s what I rolled with.
