If I told you you could have an extra 90 minutes a week to do whatever you like, would you take that 90 minutes?
Now when I think about joining a service group or getting involved in a campaign or some cause, I stop and think, āIām probably not going to be able to make much difference here.ā So I pause and refocus my attention on something else. And even then Iām not very good at that.
We have a generation of young people who are stuck in their own form of Lost Time Syndrome, captive to a once-in-a-generation loss of life experiences, memories, emotions, and learning that risks defining them for years.
I’ve never experienced writer’s block or an inability to put words-to-screen. My problem has more to do with focus.
Do less, but better and live somewhere that is your Walden Pond, to the best you can manage. Make radical change to get there. Thereās a lesson in that.
