Adam Grant has written several books and the direction and style of all of them follow a similar example-then-analysis approach, usually told through stories. The problem is the stories selected are a little obvious. I get worried when people start using Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and the Gates Foundation as examples that are somehow supposed to relate to everyone else.
Seems to me those people are the most extreme outliers, and while interesting in their own right, aren’t an ideal choice for creating memorable examples.
This is my first episode with chapter markers in the audio and includes a more structured format. Four episodes in and I’m starting to learn a few new things. This was also the first episode recorded directly into the editing software.
