Two days ago I wrote a whole page about being the “Best Copywriter in Indianapolis”. I wanted to target that search query and within 20 hours I made it to front page.
I like parts of this book and not others, but it’s probably the most “aggressive” of any book I’ve read on what it takes to achieve some kind of life satisfaction.
This book is seemingly everywhere lately, or at least the author is. I listened to the audiobook version of “Stolen Focus” and found it holistic, compared to many other books on the same topic. Though there are some things in here—like treating Facebook as a public utility and all the regulatory trappings therein—downright absurd.
Thing is, I’m not so sure this bill is a bad idea. For one, I used to be an adjunct teacher. I think the root of this bill is simply there aren’t enough teachers. I really don’t think legislators are scheming to undermine the profession of teaching. Why there aren’t enough teachers is, perhaps, a result of their own actions. But for now, I don’t think it’s trying to undermine teachers.
